the skinny

So usually I try to make a concerted effort to not completely abandon my blog, but it has come to my attention that is nearing a reality. And so I post; not really out of necessity, but simply as an effort to provide reading material for those interested. So, needless to say, I’ve been pretty busy trying to stay on top of things. Between work, school, and an internship, time away to have some fun or enjoy an evening with friends is welcomed to say the least. I’ve become pretty involved in a Life Group through church (Life Center Foursquare) and we’ve been spending a lot of time together which has been fun. It’s a small group, I think that there are 8 of us, but we usually meet on Tuesday nights and just have dinner together at one of our houses and then just hang out. We’ve gotten along so well that we usually find ourselves spending Friday or Saturday night together too doing something fun. I went and saw End of The Spear last weekend and would recommend it especially if you find interest in the life of Jim & Elisabeth Elliott. Very compelling movie … It’s quite the picture of how God sometimes works in ways that are so contrary to our thinking and society.

I went skiing last Sunday with some other friends up at Schweitzer and that was a hoot! It was honestly one of the best days I’ve had skiing. Sunny, powder, tons of snow, and great runs. We had a good time. They invited me over for a Super Bowl party tonight at there place out in Cheney – they both attend EWU. I just got home from watching that crazy disappointment, but that’s the way it goes some times. I never thought the day would come when the Seahawks would go to the Super Bowl. Anyway, sorry for the list of ramblings. Not much substance to this post, just updates. Well, I’m up bright and early to open tomorrow at Starbucks for the third day in a row and sleep is calling my name. Hope you all enjoyed the weekend. Thanks for reading my posts even though they are often few and far between.
