Well it’s been quite some time since I’ve made a post. I originally started a blog in an effort to stay connected when I moved to Spokane. As most of you know, I have since graduated and moved back to the west side of the mountains. I needed a new look, so I decided to convert to a wordpress blog. Life has happened since and there’s probably too many things that have happened to post of, but I’ll do my best to highlight the big ones.
As I mentioned, I graduated in May from Gonzaga with a BBA in Finance. A couple weeks after I moved back home, I was offered the opportunity to work at Starbucks here in Seattle at their Support Center. I’ve been there since May as an intern, in a financial analyst role, and I absolutely love it. It’s a great company, a great environment to work in, offers sufficient challenge, and there’s a lot of room for growth and development. I’m in the process of securing a permanent position and hope to be lucky enough to do so.
So that’s work. I went to Oahu in July to celebrate Rebekah and Donald’s wedding and met a couple of girls there that I have started a bible study with since we’ve returned. There are only four of us and we all attend different churches, but it’s fun to have a consistent schedule of meeting together on a weekly basis and figuring out exactly how to have a bible study. I’ve returned to Puyallup Foursquare Church and really enjoy it.
Went on a few trips over the summer. Spent 5 days on Oahu, went on our annual Salmon River rafting trip, and went on my second ever backpacking trip. All were tons of fun and I’ll post some of the pictures on the sidebar. I think that pretty much covers it, life continues whether we feel ready or not. My short term goal is to buy a home once I gain permanent employment. I’ve been looking in Puyallup & Sumner for a small home with some potential near the commuter train. It’s kind of a scary proposition, but if you want to make any headway, at some point you’ve gotta just bite the bullet. I’m sure there will be more posts about this adventure in the near future. Bye for now.
