Last weekend …

I made the trek back home again last weekend. I had a couple of days off in a row and decided that it would be nice to spend it back home. I got a chance to see Naomi & Eric and their boys, Adrienne and their new house, Caleb & Sarah and their new place, and Julie, my old roommate in Snoqualmie. It was nice to get a chance to catch up with everyone.

My family spent the day together on Sunday and we went up to visit my aunt at her new house in Tacoma. We had lunch and then went down to Ruston way to hang out and enjoy the sunshine. It was beautiful. This is a picture of some of us at her house.

fresh music.

On the recommendation of a friend who has a vested interest in Hillsong music, I recently purchased a new CD and I must say it is one of the coolest CD’s I have bought lately. Okay, it’s actually the only CD that I’ve bought lately, but it’s still pretty cool. It’s fresh, passionate worship in case you’re in the market for such. The CD is titled United. As I understand it, it is a worship album from the youth team at the Hillsong Church. For those of you who may not know, the friend of mine who recommended it is Ona-Lysa. She is currently enrolled in college at Hillsong, so at the very least, invest in her education! Here’s a short clip of one of my favorite songs on the CD entitled Salvation Is Here.

4th of July

We were lucky enough to have the opportunity to spend 4th of July on the water. Some friends that my dad grew up with have a home on the Puget Sound near Gig Harbor. We used to spend every 4th there, but haven’t for the past few years. It was nice to return. It was an absolutely beautiful day. We enjoyed the opportunity of visiting with old friends and seeing family after my six weeks away in Europe. I enjoyed traveling, but it feels good to be home.
