Thanksgiving in Spokane

Well, look at that, I guess I’m a little behind the times. Talking about Thanksgiving days after. Anyway, it was overall a great thanksgiving. I didn’t get to go home which was a big bummer. But it turned out okay. I was invited over to a friends house who leads our life group. It was really nice that they extended an invitation and let me celebrate the holiday with their family. I was blessed. My parents came to visit the days prior to the holiday, but had to leave on Wednesday to prepare for the big feast that we have every year at their house. I missed that a lot. Nobody really makes turkey and stuffing like my mom and dad do. And it’s just not the same spending thanksgiving with anybody other than your family. But school requires sacrifices, so that’s just the way it goes sometimes. Regardless of where I was, I have a lot to be thankful for.

Victory for GW!

I just had to blog my excitement that George W. Bush will continue to be our President. It seems to be the popular thing not to share your political beliefs, but come on, how could you not like the guy? I guess if you like paying taxes and having programs that serve as incentives to be lazy and not contribute to the common good than you might not like him, but for all of you who do, feel free to send your latest tax check back to the government so that they can write it out to someone else in the form of a welfare check. :) I’m a little fiesty (sp?) tonight I guess. It’s just nice to know that we have a strong, real leader in the white house who is morally sound and believes that the American Dream should be available to everyone. Contrary to popular belief, it’s a dream that doesn’t entail getting what you haven’t worked for, but instead having the opportunity to work and succeed in life and allowing you to experience the feeling of accomplishment. What could be better?
